Pizza Around the World

Anyone that walks into any of our family-friendly Edwardo’s Natural Pizza Restaurants, you know our pizza is made with love. So how much does the rest of the world love pizza?
We know we have won the hearts of so many Midwest hearts. Their favorite topping goes to pepperoni. Followed by cheese and mushrooms. Our favorite topping is of course the Award-winning stuffed pizza made with Edwardo’s Special- lean sausage, fresh green peppers, mushrooms, and onions.

Japan is known for their exquisite seafood. Eel and squid are among the favorite pizza toppings for the Japanese. However, if you want to try the Japanese version of pizza, you will have to try a Okonomiyaki: a crepe-like pancake topped with whatever you want. Commonly, you will find grilled pork belly, shrimp, vegetables, seaweed, and pickled ginger on top of it.
In India you might want to try a pizza topped with pickled ginger, minced mutton, and tofu for an authentic blend of flavors and spices. Try mixing together sardines, tuna, mackerel, salmon, and red onions to eat a cold pizza like a Russian. In Amsterdam hotdogs find their way out of a bun and onto a pizza

Among the favorite toppings for Germans is a sunny side up egg on your pizza. There is another fun option though, called thunfisch pizza: a tuna fish pizza usually combined with tomatoe sauce, cheese, onions, peppers, and oregano.
In Costa Rica, coconut is consistently the favorite pizza topping. Australians love their pineapple and shrimp pizza; sounds like the aussie take on our Hawaiian luau pizza!

While the world is trying different flavors on their pizza, we will say, the least favorite pizza topping in America is Anchovies. When it all comes together though, eat your pizza how you like it! That’s why we love it when you create your own pizza.
